
Frank I. Ferrara 75, of Carmel, Indiana passed peacefully from this life to eternity on August 30, 2015. A native Hoosier, Frank was born June 27, 1940 to the late Bert C. and Rose Ann (Doebber) Ferrara. He grew up in Clinton, Indiana and graduated with degree in Economics from Purdue University in May 1962. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the Army ROTC. At Purdue, he met his bride and life-long partner, Mimi (Rotunno) Ferrara. They were married June 1, 1963 and immediately afterwards moved to Pasadena, California where Frank completed his Army service at an ammunition procurement agency. He and his family moved to Evansville in June 1965, where he was a sales manager for Whirlpool Corporation. In 1978, Frank became an advertising account executive for Keller-Crescent Company in Evansville, earning multiple sales awards. He retired in May 1997 and joined his wife in her design firm, Ferrara Business Interiors. In 2009, Frank and Mimi moved to Carmel.
Frank attended College Park Church in Carmel. He professed Jesus Christ as his Savior in May 2010, and was baptized in August 2010.
Frank was an avid Corvette enthusiast and an active golfer for many years at Rolling Hills Country Club. Many will miss Frank’s congenial outlook, embrace of others, witty sense of humor, and big smile.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife Michelle (Mimi), sons Mark (Nancy) Ferrara and Chris Ferrara, grandchildren Emily, Allison, and Maria and sister Ann Crenshaw.
The family wishes to thank each of the caregivers at the Barrington in Carmel for their tireless efforts to serve Frank so graciously during the last years of his life.
Visitation will be at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 3rd. Funeral Services will be at College Park Church, 2606 W. 96th St. in Carmel on Friday, September 4 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Indiana or Still Waters Adult Day Center at 7160 Shadeland Station, Indianapolis, IN 46256.
